, ■/. . • 1 Messrs A. H. Atkinson & Co., IJafi., report a medium entry of pigs >hnd a good demand for weaners which sold well. Thhte were no heavy pigs offering and the stores were not of too good quality. Poultry came forward in considerable quantity for the most part of not too good quality. Produce met a better market, potatoes showing a hardening tendency. We quota:— Pigs, • weaners-5s 6d, 6s, 6s 3d, 6a 6d, 7a, 8a 6d, slips 9s fid, -11 ato 13a, stores and email porkers 22s to 23s «d. Poultry, at each, roosters Is 4d, la 8d to Is lOd, hens and pallets la, Is 4d to Is Bd, chicks lid, ducks Is 7d to la lOd. Fruit and produce, apples 201 b oases 2s fid, Ifiib good eating 3a 9d, 401 b cases 4s 9d ; pumpkins made per lb,* table potatoes 7s to 8a 3d per sack, pig 3s 3d; onions %d to * per lb.; parsnips is 3d small bags; quinces 4s 3d per 76 lb bags; carrots 6d to 9d per sugar bag; artichokes %d per ,1b; marrows 4a sack; pie melons 2s per half dozen ; chaff Ss per sack, feed oats 3s 3d per bushel. v Messrs Murray, Roberta & 00. have received the following market cablegram from their London agents, Messrs Sanderson, Murray & 00., dated 29th April Full woolled Merino sheep skins have advanced %d per lb, full woolled crossbred sheep skins have advanced Id, and abort woolled sheep skins have declined %d.
