Andrew Godbaz, who was tried fofore Mr Justice Chapman at Palmerston -North in February last on a charge of assaulting Edward Arthur Ooley so as to cause grievous bodily harm', came up for sentence at Wellington on Saturday. The jury had found him guilty of assault and the Jndgfe reserved for the Appeal Court he question whether the finding amounted to a verdict of guilty.
