The Colonial Sugar Company’s profits for the six months are £162,633, making the total amount available for distribution £199,000. A dividend of 10 per; cent, has been declared and £56,500 has been carried forward. The Chairman stated that the production of sugar in Australia this year would fall short of consumption, and some importation would be necessary. The proposal to erect another mill in Fiji had fallen through for the present.
