The Government ia despatching a court-martial to Adana to try the Instigators of the massacres, who are to be treated with the utmost severity.

THE MASSACRES IN ASIA

Constantinople, April 30. The Court-Martial has ordered several executions. London, April 30.
TlmTelegrapb’s Constantinople correspondent reports that Shevket Pasha made a forced, march and in 14 hours occupied Constantinople on Saturday instead of Sunday. He learned from Tewfik that preparations were being made for a general massacre on Saturday, hence the order|to take the reactionaries unawares.
It is announced that Abdnl Hamid will not be dethroned. Advices from Symrna state that recent massacres in Asia Minor were planned in Constantinople with a view to provoking the, intervention of the Powers, and ending the Constitutional regime.
The town of Adana has been burnt and survivors are dying of famine. It is understood that Abdul Hamid will not be tried. Moslems in India congratulated the new Sultan, and expressed the hope that Abdul Hamid will personally be unharmed. ' Sir B. Grey has congratulated Turkey on the effective way in which order has been established.
