NATAL AND THE UNION. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. London, April 22. The Legislative Council at Pietermaritzburg adopted the draft of the Constitution. The Referendum Bill was passed. - Parliament was then prorogued. The Speaker stated that the Mozambique treaty was objectionable, but an improvement on the present modus viveudi would htf enforced whether Natal joined the Union or not.
