ADDINGTON MARKETS

Press Association. OhristC;huioh, April 21. At the Addington yards there was a large entry of afl .classes of stock and a good attendance. Fat cattle showed a further fall in prices. Fat lambs were firmer, Stcre sheep showed no change. Fat sheep opened at last week’s;rates. Baoouers and store pigs were in good demand, and porkers, were "easier, but closed a little firmer.. Store and dairy cattle sold well. The yarding of store sheep was smaller than last week and the sheep were generally of a better class, A large portion was formed cf swes and among lambs was a line of 350 merinos. There was a good attendance of buyers and though the demand was better, prices showed practically no change. Nearly all the'lines of ewes found purohasers at late rates, while* lambs met with better enquiry. Several lots of very forward lambs changed hands at 11s 6d to 12s, prices being an advance in sympathy with the rates for fat lambs. Wethers could only be sold at low rates, forward sorts making 9s to 9s 6d. Fat lambs.—-There were 6337 taken for freezing at 11s 4d to 15s, and one shorn line at lls to 12s 6d, 236 by butchers at lls 7d to 15s 2d, and 207 were bought by graziers. Fat sheep.—Extra prime wethers made to 20s, prime wethers made to 20a, prime lls 6d to 17s, lighter lls 3d to 14s prime ewes 12s 6d to 15s sd, medium 10s to lls 6d, aged and light 7a to 9s 6d. Fat cattle,—Steers made £5 17a 6d to £ll, heifers £4 7a 6d to £8 12s 6d, and cows £5 5s to £7. equal to 18a 6d to 20a for prime 16s to 18s for medium, and 14s to 15s 6d for cows and inferior per lOOlbs. There was a good sale for store cattle, i Figs.—Choppers sold up to £8 Is, large baooners 55a to 63a, and lighter 48s to 545, equal to 4>£d to 4%d per pound. Porkers made 38a to 44a, and smaller 32s to 375, equal to 6d pet )b. Large stores made 40a to 445, medium 28s to 85s, small 18s to 22s and weaners 8a to 14s.
