BULLS TOWN BOARD.

The above • met; on Monday. Present; Messrs Walker (chairman), Fletcher, Flower, Broughton .ana Oonghlin. Mr Walker apologised for the absence of Mr King. , The Returning Officer reported the result of the election tor -the Awo vacancies, and stated that Broughton and Oonghlin had been ’ declared elected. , , The Chairman shortly welcomed the new members. CORRESPONDENCE. From-Mr Mansell, suggesting exchange of sites to the Town Hall to a section of his adjoining. Mr Mansell’s offer was declined. From Mews Humphrey and Natdsoh, services re building new baliJft-iaJid on table. • From re proclaiming Bulls Town District. The Inspector of Nuisances report . The Chairman gave notice to move ' at the next meeting of the Boarff the striking of a general rate of Is M in the £, and also a special rate of ££d in the £, to provide intceest for £bu additional loan. . Accounts were passed for payment. It was resolved that the prompt action of the Insurance Company Jn settling the loss by fire of the Town Hall be-plaoed on record. It was resolved, on the motion of the chairman, that on re° el pt of the £6O further loan, a footpath be formed to Mr T. Ellery’s gate. The hour of the Board’s meeting - was changed from 7.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. during winter months. A special meeting is to be held on Tuesday, 27th inst., at 7 p.m., re Town Hall. , Messrs Broughton and Oonghlin ■were appointed a works committee for the month. DOMAIN'BOARD. Accounts were passed for payment. Resolved, That hoards be placed on gates giving notice of prosecution Where the gates are not closed, also thatSthe regulations re payment for grazing in advance be strictly adhered to. The caretaker was instructed to impound animals where this bad not been complied with.
