Prisoners who had pleaded guilty were sentenced at the Supreme Court this morning. John David Anderson, for thefts of money at Seddon Irom a mr.n with whom he had been drinking, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. William Albert Hansen, on five charges of false pretences, and one of forgery at Eltham, to, two years. Hansen had been road foreman nnder the Eltham County Council and defrauded that body. Edgar Hupe for arson at the Royal Hotel, Palmerston North, was sentenced to five years. Richard Lynch for breaking, entering and theft, feceiyed three jears.
