MR REARDON FINED FOR
ASSAULT,
Per Press Associatiou. Wellington.? April 16. A prominent local labour leader, M. J. Reardon, was charged at the Police Court to-day with assaulting Janies Purchas. The assault was the result of a difference of opinion at a recent meeting of the Trades’ Council. Reardon pleaded guilty, his counsel pleading extenuating circumstances on account of the provocation received. He was fined leu shillings.
