REVOLT AT CONSTANTINOPLE.
A SERIOUS SITUATION. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received April 14, 8 80 a.m. Constantinople, April 13. A revolt has taken place at Constantinople. Two battalions of troops surrounded the Parliament Buildings and demanded the dismissal of-the Grand Vizier the President of the Chamber, and the Minister for War. The situation is grave. PANIC IN THE CITY. Constantinople, April 18. The Insurgent troops who were quartered at the Ministry for War marched at dawn to the mosque of St. Sophia, and thence to the Parliament buildings, causing serious disturbances. A panic prevails and the shops are closed.
The immediate cause of the trouble is not disclosed.
A private message' received in London states tbat there are no officers with the insurgents.
