EASTER CAMP.

Dannevirke, April 10. The camp at (Oringi is now fully organised and the work appointed by Lieut.-Col. fianohop, the officer commuading, is being carried out. It is estimated that close upon 2000 men of all arms are under canvas. The camp occupies a sheltered situation on the banks of the Oroua and Kiritaki streams, the surrounding flats affording magnificent parade grounds where manoeuvres can b© carired out on an extensive scale. The scheme of operations is that an attacking force has landed at Porangahau and is marching inland towards Dannevirke. The force in camp at Oringi {is to repel them. To this end various companies left camp last night and are now occupying positions of sratege tic im—porfcnoe“ in different parts of the district. A church parade is to be held to-morrow afternoon, the service to be conducted by Major— Chaplain Robertshawe. Col. Davies is present as Inspeotor-Qeneral.
