STOCK REPORT. Loan & Mercantile report:—At Himatangi on Monday, a good entry of both sheep and cattle met with keen competition and sold freely under the hammer at prices slightly in advance of those ruling. We quote Sheep: Store wethers 8s 6d to 9s, forward wethers 10s 6d, aged ewes 5s 4d,- forward ewes 7s 9d, breeding ewes 9s. Cattle : 18-month steers £3 Is 6d, 2-year steers £8 lls, yearling steers 84s 9d, store cows £3 8s to £3 15s 6d, forward cows £8 to £3 6s. fat cows £8 13s 6d to £4 4s 6d, fat heifers £3 ss, dairy cows £3 17s 6d, 3-year heifers in calf £3 3s, springing,Holstein heifers £5 10s to £7 17s 6d.
Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsouville sale as follows:—A good yarding of sheep and cattle were well up to requirements. Beasts made Ids io Ida 6d per lOOlbs, best bullocks £7 15s to'£B ss, light £7 to £7 2s 6d, extra prime heavy wethers la 8d to 15s 6d, good 13s 4d, plain lls 8d to lls lOd, medium ewes 10s 6d to lOslOd, prime lambs Us to 13s, plain lambs 9s 6d to 10s 3d. A(j Marton sale held yesterday we had a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. A . total clearance of sheep was ha ad e at the following prices: Forward ewes 5s 7d, 6sj 6s, 9d to 7s sd, ewes in lamb 78 9d, fat ewes 8s 3d to 8s 7d, pood mixed lambs 7s 9d, cull lambs 3s 7d, 4s 9d to ss, mixed 18 month cattle 35s to 38s, empty cows 33s 6d, fat cows £4 2s, weaner heifers 12s, weaner pigs 13s 6d.
