CHINESE RAILWAY LOANS.

After a heated conference at Paris with a German group of bunkers, the British and French groups declined to participle with the Deutsch-Asiatische Bank In the Oanton-Hankow Railway loan cn the ground that it did not provide for adequate control of the expenditure. They also protested to the Pekin Government cn the ground that the loan bad not been previously submitted to Britain in accordance with the provisions of the Convention of September 9th, 1905. GERMAN METHODS. ! London, April 5. Details of the differences between the*British and German financiers as to the Hankow Railway show acute tension through Germany persisting in the agreement made with China behind the backs of England and France contrary to the protocol signed a week earlier. The German financiers showed a disposition to yield hut pleaded that the Foreign Office would not permit it.
