Danish 109 s, Argentine, 975, Siberian 98s, The cheese market- is quiet, hut firm. White makes are quoted at 61s, coloured 64a. . ' The hemp market is quiet, but rather steadier. The stock in ' London amounts to 310 tons, current quotations are: —Good fair ; grade on spot £23 ss, fair grade ,on ’ spot £2l 19a, fair current Manila on ; - spot £33, April-June shipments of j good fair grade £33; fair grade £Bl, fair current Manila £3l. Last •Week’s Manila output amounted 1 to i; ;23,000; bales. - , . . , The cocksfoot seed market is quiet and buyers not keen to do business. Bright clean 171 b seed is quoted at 1 80s. STOCK REPORT. v; Messrs Preeman R. Jackson & 00. reportOn March 80tb, at our Wanganui stock sale we yarded 2900 sheep, 340 battle, and 76 pigs. The attendance was good and the bulk of the stock sold at ruling prices. Practically no demand for grown bnllooks, hut young cattle maintained , late values. No quotable change in sheep. Large and ! medium porkers sold in vendors’ favour. Small stores hard to quit. Messrs Dalgety & 00., Ltd., report At our Mangaweka sale on Saturday, the 3rd inat., we had a good yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. The demand was not at all keen and several lines were * -passed at auction.
