CRICKET.

At Feilding on Saturday a cricket match was played between the Manawatn Juniors and the Feilding District Association, and was won by the latter by 8 runs. The Manawatu team batted first, and made 111; Simmons 27, Pegden .22, .Tiokel 13 batted splendidly for Manawatu. Mills, 4 for 19, was the most successful howler for the District Association. Carlyle, 8 for 27, Drew, 2 for 20 also captured wickets. The District Association made, 119; Banks 33, Mills 24, Drew 15, were the principal run-getters.'' Nelson 4 for 33 bowled well for Manawatu. The bowling averages for Manawatu were: McGregor 1 for 12, Simmons l£for 18, Fift 1 for 25. Messrs Burnett (Feilding) and Stewart (Palmerston I were the umpires.
