WEDDING.
ANDERSON—GRANT. On Wednesday a large number of guests were entertained at afternoon tea at the residence of Mrs H, Grant, the occasion being the wedding of Misss Mabel Grant with Mr Robert Arthur Anderson, of Marton. The bride wore a charming dress of cream silk voile and lace, with the indispensable orange blossoms, veil and shower bouquet. She also wore a lovely ruby and pearl gold necklet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids, whose dresses were of white silk and muslin, were Misses Ruth Burnett and Olive Blackwell, * youthful nieces of the bride. Mi Edward Houghton as best man carried out his duties without a hitch; while Rev. Mr Gordon officiated at the ceremony. The bride was given away by her mother, who wore a handsome costume of dark blue silk, striped lustre, trimmed white silk guipure and white silk embroidered vest. The young couple left by the afternoon express en route for Auckland where they will spend the honeymoon. The bride’s travelling dress was a light gray tweed cos.tume with blouse of white embroidered silk. ______
