Press Assonianou. Napier, March 31. The autumn show of the Hawke’s Bay Argicultnral and Pastoral Society was held at Hastings to-day ip hue weather and was largely attended. The fruit and vegetable displays good, especially apples, pears, and peaches. It is net too much to Fay that it has never b c, en excelled in Hawke’s Bay, whilst the judge < f vegetables stated that those classes were beautiful ; both as regards quality, size and variety. There was no competition in district exhibits, bnt the only entry—that of the Hastings branch of the Farmers’ Union—was comprehensive and of high quality. The following were the winners of points prizes:—

Fat sheep: O. Nelson (54) 1, A. S Q. Oarlyon (22) 2. Honey and Beeswax: O. R. Bostock (85) 1, D. McOallocfc (9) 2. Dressed Poultry and Eggs: Mrs E. Baldwin (42). Vegetables: J. Holdsworth (60) 1, D. B Hill (57) 2, R. D. D. McLean (64) 3. The competitions resulted as follows
