CHILD KILLED BY A MOTOR CAR.

Dr. Fullerton, while' driving m a motor car along the Bluff Road on Frday, collided with a woman and child whb were standing in the roadway talking to the driver of a dray which was stationary on the road. The doctor stopped the car very soon after passing and picked up the woman and child. The woman was startled hut practically funhurt, hut the child (Ellen Mary Soules) aged five, seemed hurt and screamed loudly. The doctor carried her into a house and attended to her, finding no'signs of serious injuries. In a little while the child collapsed. Dr. Fullerton took the ohild in hispnotor to the hospital, where all that was possible was done for her, hut animation could not he * restored. At the inqnest the medical evidence showed that the ohild had sustained a broken rib, and indicated that death was due to syncope as the result of shook. The evidence also showed that the woman who was with the child was almost blind. The Coroner found a verdiot of accidental death. JSo blame was attachable to Dr. Fqllertou.
