The grounds of the Proprietary appeal are that Mr Justice Higgins introduced driring the bearing of the award matters vitally affecting the business of the Company which the Court had no jurisdiction to deal with. The development has caused .much disappointment as it is realised that the hearing of the appeal may delay the re-opening of the mine (or a lengthy period. The men are again becoming restless. There are rumours that the companies intend to import men from Melbourne.
