Potato disease, says the Olntha Leader, has made its appearance on most of the crops in ® the district. "When the disease made its appearance a few years ago, the practice was to remove all the haulms and bury them; this by instruction of the Department. It was found that this did not save the crop, that potatoes that were left alone were just as sound, more so in fact, than those that had the “shawa” carefully gathered.
