A Canadian Pacific Railway Company’s express, travelling at 40 miles an hour, dashed into the Windsor Street station at Montreal. It ploughed over the platform, crashed into the l&dies’ waiting room and brought cfown the granite pillars supporting the superstructure. The damage is.estimated at 100,000 dollar^. Five people were killed, and twenty injured. All the passengers who were waiting at the station were unhurt. The accident was due to a boiler plug on the engine having blown out and j thrown the driver and fireman ont, there thus being no one aboard to stop the train.
