DEATH OF AN INFANT.
Press Association. Auckland, March 18. At the inquest on the body of the newly born Infant: son of William Stirling, wharf labourer, Annie Oorzens, nursefstudent at St. Helen s Hospital, stated that she was present at the birth at 2 a.m. yesterday. The child was healthy and fully developed, was all right when she left at 3 a.m. On returning at seven the child was dead, the body being warm lying amongst the bed clothes bnt the face was cold. Immediately after the birth of the child she noticed marks of apparent bruising on the right arm and chest. The inquest was adjourned.
