BULLS DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.
. A special meeting of above was held yesterday afternoon when there were present Messrs T. W. Downes (chairman), T. .King, T. McGregor and O. Hinkley. The • Chairman stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose cl appointing a special assistant at the school. A letter from the Education Board was received stating that three applications had been received, and recommending tbe appointment of Mr O. F. Rockel, whose testimonials were forwarded. After consideration it was proposed by tbe Chairman and seconded by Mr McGregor, and carried, “That this Committee agrees to the appointment of Mr O. F. Rockel as special assistant at the Balls District High School.” Mr Rockel is at present relieving teacher at Marton, and was formerly assistant at Napier High School. In addition to high educational attainments he is a good all round athlete, and when in Napier held the position of lieutenant in the Cadets.
