Hugh Mclntosh, interviewed at New York, said that if Jim Jeffries, the retired undefeated boxing champion, can get into shape and will meet Jack Johnson, the present champion, he thought he could arrange for the contest to take place either in England or France. If not he would take the combatants to Australia.
