CHINESE RAILWAYS.
GERMAN ACTIVITY. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received March 13, 9.5 a.m. Pekin, March. 12. Dr. Morrison, Times’ correspondent, says that a German syndicate is loaning three million for the construction of the northern half of the Oanton-Hankow Railway in direct violation of the agreement of 1905 whereby British capital and British material was to be used, also in disregard of the British-German agreement of 1898 defining spheres of railway interest.
