Auckland Board of Education frequently receives requests from country school committees for assistance in the matter of erecting miniature rifle ranges, and at the last meeting; the chairman referred to the matter. He said the Department was experimenting with a model range at Mount Oook School, Wellington, and if the range proved all right plans would be supplied to the Board. The Board was most anxious to assist committees in the endeavour to make rifle instruction available whereever possible, but it bad to wait to see what the Department was going to do.
