The inquiries will he conducted in public, and in the course of them the Commission will make such personal instruction and call such evidence as they think fit, bat will not Allow solicitors or representatives of any person, or call persons to appear before them without the Minister’s previous written authority. All 1 members of the Railway Department are enjoined to give all "the information and assistance in their power. The Commissioners -conduct the inquiries in the aforesaid shops and elsewhere as they think fit, and report to the Minister the result:,‘ with their recommendations and the reasons on which the same, ate based, not later than the 31st day of March, 1909. Judging from telegrams that have passed between tbe Secretary cf the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and the Minister the men will not have anyone to represent them. The Minister refuses to accept anyone outside the railway service and the men desire to appoint Mr T. B. Taylor to represent them.
