Messrs Dalgety & Co. report:—At Mangaweka sale on Saturday, 6th instant we had a very good yarding of sheep. • Although the country round the ,r dißtrict looks fresh and green, yet the continued dry weather had a depressing effect on buyers, and several lots were parsed at auction. Prices ruled as follows : Cull lambs 2s to 2s 6d, aged ewes 2s Id to 5s 2d, mixed 2 tooth to Bs, 2 and 4 tooth ewes 10s 6d to 11s, 4 and 6 tooth ewes 9s 3d, 9s 4d to 11s sd, call 2 tooth wethers 5s 6d, 2 tooth wethers 9s lOd. gßMessrs Abraham & Williams report on Johnsonville saleA large yarding of sheep came forward, 200 being offered. A good entry of prime beef sold readily under the hammer at late rates. Best bullocks £8 13s 6d to £8 17s 6d, lighter £7 16s to £B, light £6 10s to £7'ss. prime wethers 14s, good wethers 13s, ewes 11a to lie Id, lambs 10s 3d to lls 3d; woolly 12s, spare stock (these were dull ol sale under the hammer, but we managed to dispose of all the / sheep except two small pens after’the sale). Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report on Hnnterville sale held yesterday -.—Fair yardings of both sheep and cattle. The bidding was not spirited, but we managed to get rid of most of onr yarding at the following prices. Sheen : 2-tootb ewes lls 9d, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 10a 6d to 12s 6d, 3-tooth to f.m. ewes 8s 6d, s.m ewes 7s 6d, f m. ewes 4s 9d, fat ewes 9s, 3-tooth wethers 10s 3d, forward lambs 7s 9d, Romney rams 16s, £1 Is to 23a; onlldo.|3s. Cattle : Pat bullocks £6, fat cows £3 to £8 15s, store cows 80s to £3, 3-year steers small £3 2s 6d, mixed yearlings 15s.
