Mr Burgoyne, who is connected with the English Tariff Reform League, and in on a visit Jto- Australia, speaking at the annual meeting Of the Imperial Federation League, said the British Government at present was a menagerie of incompetence. The members of it were angels of incompetencejcrbwned with a halo of sanctimonious humbug. He only wished the Mother Country thought as well of her colonies as the colonies thought of their Mother Country. There was no doubt the Colonial*thought twice as well of Englishmen as Englishmen thought of Colonials.
