TRENTHAM MEETING. Press Association. Trentham, March 7. There were four service matches fired to-day. In service match No. 7, snap shooting; 300 yards, 7 shots, 125 competitors won 58s eaoh. In sarvioe match No. 8, rapid firing, 500 yards, the following were the principal prize winners .-—Turner (Petone) £5 46; Potter (Auckland), £4, 45; Chapman (Takapu), £B, 44; J, Frederick (Marton), McLeary (Opaki), Brenton (Pongaroa) eaoh 26s Bd, each scoring 43; Raic (Gisborne), “McOalmont (Opaki), Soler (Taumarina) each 33s 4d, with 412 each.

The 600 yards stage then started, but the 'wind was unfavoubable to good shooting, and the scores bid fair to he low. Howe (Wpilintgou) was the highest scorer at the range up to mid-day, while Wing was then leading for the match with an aggregate of 92, Balfour, of Taradale, being next, a point below. Hogg, a Dunedin tyro, totalled 98 at the two ranges.
