STOCK REPORT. Loan & Mercantile report:—At Feilding yesterday we had a heavy yarding of sheep and'a small f yarding of cattle. Sheep , were easier all round, and buyers were not keen to operate. We, however, placed the hulk of our entries, vendors in most cases being inclined to accept the lower rates. We quote: Sheep: Cull ewes 2s 3d to 3s, aged ewes 6a 7d to 7s, 3-tooth ewes small 8s 7d, 2’tooth ewes 11s fid to 13s sd, 4 and 5- ewes 9s 6d and 10s 8d to 11s 7d, lambs 7s, 2-tooth wethers 10a 7d. Cattle: Fat and forward cows £3, cows and calves £3 11s, hulls 30s At Apiti, on Tuesday, about 1500 sheep dame forward, and nearly all found buyers either at auction or privately after the sale. Quotations Sheep: Ram lambs 6g 6d, mixed lambs 6s, 6s 3d, 7s lOd, Bs, cull lambs 2s lOd, 3a 9d, 4s 9d, mixed aged ewes 10a Bd, f.m. ewss Bs, 2* tooth ewes 12s 6d, to 13s 3d, 4-tooth ewes 13s, 2-tooth wethers 9S 6d 4 to 10a Cattle: 2-year steers £2 2s to £2;sa 6d, yearling steers 16a to 80s, inixed weaners 8s to 13s 6d, forward cows £3 4s to £3 ss. Messrs Gorton & Son report on the Feilding sale , yesterday Culled lambs sold qt 3s 4d and 3s 6d, mixed lambs 5s 3d, 5s 7d, 5s 10d, and 7s 6d, ■purebred Romney lambs in wool 11s 6d 3-tooth Romney lambs 11s 6d, old ewes 2s 4d, 3s Id, 5s Id and 6s 10d; 5-year old ewes 6s 3d, 2, 4 and 6- ewes , 11s Bd, 2-tooth ewes 11s 9d, small 2-tooth wethers Bs, fat ewes «10s 3d, Lincoln ;rams 31s, old rams ss, and 11s 6d. Cattle: 18months heifers 30s, 15-months steers 345, yearling heifers 13s, weaners 8j Od and 12s 6d, vealer 15s, fat cows £3 ss, £3 10s, £3 17s, £8 19s, and £5; fat heifer £3 19s, empty heifer 335, store ,‘£ll 6s. to £1 19s, steers £4 1956 d, forward cows £2, £3, 10s, £3 12s, and £3 16s, bulls 32s 6d, £2 to £2 ss. Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report :—At Feildihg on Thursday we had a small entry of sheep and a good entry of cattle. Owing to the dry weather sheep paid to quit at the following prices:—6-tooth to 4-year ewes 9s 9d to 10s Id, woolly lambs 9s 7d, Southdown rams £5, Romney rams 10s to £1 Is, Cattle,: 6-year bullocks £B, 4-year do. £5 17s 6d, aged do. £3 19s, steers £3 10s, fat cows £3, bulls 38s to £3 2a 6d, store cows to 39s 6d, milkers £6 ss.

PALMERSTON NORTH WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE.

Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—We held our usual monthly sale on Friday, March sth, and had an average catalogue to offer buyers. Bidding for wool and skins was fairly'spirited and whilst bidding for hides was not animated, still prices compare favourably with late rates. The whole of our offering was sold with the exception of one lot of wool and one lot'of calfskins.
