RANGIWAHIA.
From Onr Own Correspondent.
The weather here is absolutely perfect, beautiful sunny days and cold nights. It puts one in mind of the winter in the far north of Queensland. Haymaking has gone apace during the past three weeks, hundreds of tons of hay having been saved.
Yet another ascent of the moontains was made by Mr E. W. Pemberton and party, among whom were a nnmber of local ladies. It is mooted that a summer house will be built for next [year, where tourists from all parts of the world can reside in this bracing district, and the sea can be viewed bcjth east and west of New Zealand’s North Island. The local buyer for fat stock is very busy. Thousands of fat sheep have been bought for freezing purposes. One farmer hero has over 200 bags of cocksfoot and rye grass seed. This season has been most favourable. ' Master A. Morgan and Miss Grace Kerr have been appointed to pupil teaoherships at Ashhurst and Aramoho respectively, which speaks well for our late teacher, Mr P. Roaohe, who is now promoted to Rata.
