THE MARKETS.
STOCK REPORT. . Messrs Dalgety & Go., Ltd., report :—We held our annual sheep fair at Wanganui yards on Wednesday, 24th nit., when we yarded 13,000 sheep. We haa a good attendance of buyers. As usual at this time of the year a large quantity of old ewes were offering, for which bidding was rather dragging, bat prices realised mast be considered satisfactory. Good classes of young sheep sold fairly well, butf prices were inclined to be easier, the prospect of a spell of dry weather probably affecting values. The Lincoln and Romney sheep entered by D. P. Onllinane attracted keen competition, tbe Lincoln ewes especially selling very well.
