Manawatu county COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Manawatu County Council held at Sanson on the 10th day of February, 1909, Special Orders were adopted as under:— 1. Term of loan, 41 years at per centam per annum. 2. Authorising the raising of a loan of £3OO under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908.” to provide for the construction of drainage works in Block 1, Sandy. Survey District. Term of loan, 41 years at per centum per annum. 1 3. To provide security by w r ay of Special Rate of one-third of a penny in the £ sterling over the Oroua Downs Special Rating District on a loan of £6OO to be raised under “ The • Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908,” (the said loan to be for a period of forty-one years), and that the interest to be paid at the rate of 3|- per centum per annum, to provide” for the construction of drainage works in the Oroua Downs Estate' and Wellington-Manawatu Railway Company’s Endowment. 4. To provide security by way of Special Rate of one-seventh of a penny in the £ sterling over the Wakapuni Special Rating District on a loan of £3OO to be raised under “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908,” (the said loan to be for a period of for ty-one years) and that the interest to be paid at the rate of 3£ per centum per annum, to provide for the construction of drainage works in Block 1, Sandy Survey District. Copies in full of the foregoing Special Orders are deposited at the County Offices. Sanson. A Meeting of the Manawatu County Council will be held at the County Offices, Sanson, on WEDNESDAY, 10th March next, at 11 a.m., to confirm the foregoing Special Orders. A. K. DREW, County Clerk. r ICENSING DISTRICT OF JU RANGITIKEI. LICENSING COMMITTEE EJECTION. In pursuance of “The Licensing Act, 1908,” I, Allon Stephen Brooker, Returning Officer for the Licensing District of Rangitikei, do hereby give notice that an Election will be held for the return of five (5) qualified persons to serve as Members of the Licensing Committee for the said district; and that the latest day for receiving nominations of candidates will be the FIRST day of March, 1909; and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the NINTH day of March, 1909. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two (2) electors of the district, by a nomination paper as prescribed by Section 105 of “The Legislature Act, 1908,” delivered to the Returning Officer not later than five p.ffl. of the FIRST day of March, 1909, , The following are the Polling Places for the Licensing District of Rangitikei:—
