Huddersfield (one goal and a try) defeated the Australian Leaguers (one try). Ten thousand people witnessed the match. Messenger did not play. Huddersfield pressed in the first half of the game, scoring a try and a brilliant goal from a penalty from the half way line. Resuming, Huddersfield bad the best of the game until near the close, when Bolswski secured a try, which Hedley failed to convert.
