SERIOUS CYCLONE.

The crew of the barque Joliette, which was wrecked at New Caledonia in a cyclone, have arrived. Details show that the barque was lying at the wharf before the storm began She pulled out and drifted back and bumped until she stove in and foundered, also seriously damaging the wharf. The crew in the meantime after hours in the rigging, clambered oa the wharf.
The small steamer Piro was totally wrecked and the crew saved. The schooner Gabrielis, with about a dozen passengers, is missing. It is supposed that she is lost. Several other vessels were damaged and an immense tract of country devastated. Brisbane, February 23. A cyclone unroofed numbers of houses at Tbargomindah and Cuunamo 11a, a'Qd other extensive damage was done. A man named Knowles was struck dead by lightning.
