Eltham, February 15. $

Alexander McLean, aged 44, a married man, a member of the firm of McLean Bros., contractors for the hotter factory, has been missing from Eltbam since Friday. His body was found this morning on the bank of the Waiongora river. A pocket knife was in his hand and his jugular cat. Deceased had suffered from insomnia. The indications point to suicide. Oamaru, February 14.

A young man named Sep Dixon was found dead in his room on Saturday night with a gun alongside, and his head shattered. The suicide had evidently taken place on Friday night. Deceased is said to have been suffering from influenza. Dunedin, February 14.

The man whose body was found in Lake Logan yesterday, has been Identified as Harry Thomson, a bottle gatherer, about 60 years of age. He.had been complaining of ill-health for some time and often said he wished he was dead. He was last seen at 6 p.m. on Friday, and was missed on Saturday morning. Thomson was a native of Sweden and had no relatives in New Zealand.
