Two boys who absconded from Weraroa Training Home last week were arrested at Taihape on Saturday night, when they arrived by the mail train and sent back this morning. They walked from Otaki to Marton. The first through express arrived at Taihape from Auckland, 40 minutes late. Passengers in the sleepers speak well of .the, night’s trip. On Saturday a deputation waited on Mr Millar, Minister of Railways, as he was passing through Marton on his way to Wellington with regard to the Kitchener Street crossing. Those present were Messrs Simpson, Richardson and Thoms (Rangitikei County Council), Mr F. Parnell (Marton Chamber of Commerce), and Mr E. Newman. M.P. The time at Mr Millar’s disposal was very short and the discussion had, therefore, to be restricted. The Minister stated definitely that it was absontely impossible to keep the crossing open and referred to the alternative courses which might be taken. He requested Mr Newman to meet him in Wellington at some later date to deal with the question fully. It is important that Residents in the locality should come to a clear decision [as to the measures be adopted so that Mr Newman ma y be in a position to speak with authority when he interviews Mr Millar. WHY? IS SANDER & SONS PURE VOL ATILE EUCALYPTI EXTRACT superior to any other Eucalypti Product? Because it is the result of full experience, and of a special and careful process of manufacture. It is always safe, reliable[and effective, and the dangers of irresponsible preparations which are now palmed off as Extract are avoided. A death was recently reported from the use of one of these concoctions and in an action at law a witness testified that he suffered the most cruel irritation from the application to an ulcer of another, which was sold as “Just as good as EXTRACT.” Therefore, beware of such deception. Remember that in medicine a drop that cures is better than a tablespoon that kills, and insist upon the preparation which was proved by experts at the Supreme Court of Victoria, and by numerou. authorities during the last--85 years, to be a preparation of genuine merit, viz: THE GENUINE SANDER & SONS PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTI ■ EXTRACT.
