He left an incoherent and hysterical note, alleging that he was persecuted and blackmailed. Harry Warner explains that his father was suffering from mental derangement and had not appeared on the stage for a year. Warner left cash to pay for his board and funeral. The strap indicated that he had made two attempts at strangulation. London, February 12.
