King Edward is in high spirits and is evidently well pleased at his reception and the elaborate preparations u for his reception at the Rathans. Tremendous enthusiasm is being displayed amongst Berliners, who are delighted because King Edward is the first British monarch to visit Berlin since 1723, and no head of a foreign State has heretofore been the municipality’s guest. King Edward and Queen Alexandra received at the Embassy British residents of Berlin. The grand State ball Jat the Royal Castle was a .great success.
