FEILDING COURT.

THURSDAY, February lUh. (Before Mr A. D. Thomson, S.M.) Sven Svendson was convicted of allowing rain water to flow into the sewer of the Feilding Borough Council, in contravention of by-law 113. He was fined ss, with £2 expenses, Mr Prior appeared for tbe Council. Peter Sorensen appeared in answer to an information laid under the Destitute Persons Act, that being the father of the unborn child of Minnie Sorensen, he was about to leave Halcombe without making provision for its support. Minnie Sorenson, 28 years of age, is the adopted daughter of Hans Peter Sorenson. The defendant is a married man of about 50, but is not related to the parents of the girl. Mr Graham appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Trewin for the defendant. The defendant was ordered to lodge the title deeds ofjhis property,, 4 acres and a house at Halcombe, with the Clerk of the Feilding Court as security of his intention not to dispose of such property. A caveat to be lodged by the solicitor for the plaintiff against dealing with the land. E. Tantrum v. Peter Began, claim £4, There was a counter claim of £1 15s. Verdict for plaintiff less £2 5s paid into Court, with £2 7s costs. A. Williamson v. Barakana Tauranga, claim £ls 15s judgment .summons. Amount„to.be paid forthwith or in default 14 days Imprisonment. Amesburv Bros. v. Ohas. Blackler, claim £3B judgment summons.—Adjourned for a fortnight. D.O.A. v. W. B. Turner, claim. I4s judgment summons. Ordered to pay the amount forthwith or in default three days. Judgment summons: P. Thomson, v. J. D. Valentine, no appearance of defendant, ordered to pay £26 4s, in default, three weeks’ imprisonment ; G. H. Say well v. D. Sanson, no appearance of defendant, ordered to pay £7 6a, in default, one week’s imprisonment; F. Spence v. T. O’Grady, ordered to pay £lB 8s 10d ? in default, 14 days’ imprisonment. •
