COURTS.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, February 10. At the Supreme Court to-day, George Henry Barker was found guilty on five counts charging him with having at different public places in Fendalton, between September 24th and December Bth, wilfully and obscenely exposed his person. Prisoner gave bis ago as 25, and the Crown Prosecutor staled that he had been in the district for only a few months Justice Deunistcu, in sentencing Misener to twenty months’ imprisonment, said that the offence of which prisoner had been found guilty was the result to some extent of something in the nature of a disease, but a disease which rendered prisoner a menace to society, and it t was His Honor’s duty to see that prisoner was locked up for some time in the hope that confinement and wholesome surroundings might effect some change. The criminal sittings have now closed.
