Lord Londonderry, speaking at Belfast, said that the next general election would be one of the most critical since the Unionist party was formed because Liberals, if returned, would say they had a mandate for Home Rule. CAMPAIGNS AGAINST THE LORDS. Received February 1, 08.30 a.m. London, February 9. Mr Uxe, M.P., speaking at Oookermouth, said a severe struggle with the Lords was about to begin. By a single clause in a single Act the Liberals would end the Lord’s claims, and instantly restore the inalienable rights of the people’s representative. Messrs McKenna and Harconrt are also threatening the Lords on lines of Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman’s resolution.
