The divorce case of Mr Stirling, Laird of Kippendavie, • Perthshire, against his wife and Lord Northland (eldest sen of Lord“Ranfurly) and the cross suit of Mrs Stirling against her husband and Mrs Atherton, who was connected with the Yarde-Bnller case, is exciting interest by its revelations of the doings of smart society. "A”report of the case, consisting of seventy thousand words, was telegraphed from Edinburgh, Lord Alverstoue, speaking at the Sphinx dinner, said he could not imagine anything worse for public morality than such divorce reports.
