Yet another British nobleman is to wed an American heiress, for, after many is it now officiT ally confessed that the Bari of Granard is engaged to Miss Beatrice Mills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Ogden Mills, of fetaataberg, Butchers County, New York. The Forbeses of Granard have been settled at Oastle Forbes, Longford, -since the seventeenth scentury, 5 century, and ■the holders of ’the" title are peers of tup, lETnited ,Kip£d6m as well as of Ireland^ 5 ' 1 . Though,. as stated above, the engagement has often been denied, the return of the earl, Mr and Mrs Mills, and Miss Mills to America from England on the same steamer lent colour to the rnmour, and, as the young couple have since been .inseparable, the public refused to credit the disclaimers. There is no doubt that the coming marriage of this accomplished American and the good-looking, soldierly young British peer will be one of the events of the season.
