AUSTRAL UNISCOPE COMPANY
The above company appears in the Opera Honse, Marton, to-morrow night. A contemporary describing the entertainment says The programme Included some vocal items by Miss Maud Fenton, juggling by Levarto, and animated pictures. Miss Fenton has a sweet soprano voice, very suitable for light ballad singing, and with such songs as “Sing Me to Sleep” she won great attention and appreciation. “If All the Stars were Mine,” prettily song, was one of the best items. Levarto, rthe juggler, is something of a marvel In the art of balancing. With china plates, hats, balls, etc., he can do almost anything. Last night he held a table on his chin, whilst he tossed balls about with uncommon cleverness and again juggled with a cannon ball, a light tennis ball, and a billiard cue at the same time. Levarto is certainly one of the cleverest jugglers who has been on the stage in Marton. The pictures were exceptionally free from flicker, and those put on the canvas were well chosen. Of high-class work, “The Wise Princess” was one of the best that has been shown here.; “When the Devil Drives”, proved one of the funniest series ever seen here, and the “Adventures of the Music-teacher” called for roars of l&ughter. “The Radio Oine-Mag-netic Furniture Removing Oo. ’’ was one of the curious kind, which baffles those who attempt to explain how the Aims are obtained.
