THE GREAT CONTRALTO TO VISIT MARTON AND FEILDING.

A representative of the famous ■A,da Crossley Company arrived at Marton this morning. The object was to see whether it was possible for the world-famed contralto to visit the town. Many of the prinoipaljresidents of the town were spoken to, and such great enthusiasm shown that it was finally decided to appear at Marton on February 17th next. The result will be taken to show whether it is possible to bring such powerful companies to Macton. The residents of the town and district should rise to the occasion and see that this is done. The whole company, which has everywhere neen called the finest that lias ever visited Australia and New Zealand, .includes Mr John Harrison, at the present time indisputably the first tenor in England f Mr Percy Grainger, easily the foremost British piauiste ; Mr Leon Sametini, the great Dutch said to be finer than Kubelik; and Jay Ryan, the finest baritone Ireland has ever produced. The usual prices will be charged, namely, 10s 6d reserved, and unreserved at 6s and 2s 6d, and those who secure seats will be wise.
