STOCK REPORT. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report as balow’ou their Marton sale of 19th inst. We had a good yarding of sheep, and a fair yarding of cattle, all of which were disposed of at auction with the exception of two pens of sheep, which were sold immediately after the sale. We quote :—Sheep:, Cull lambs 4s, 4s 7d, to 6s Id ; medium lambs, 7s 7d to 8s 6dj good woolly lambs, 10s Id ; aged ewes, 6s 3d; forward ewes, 8s to 8s 8d ; fat ewes, 10s 6d to 10s 8d; 6 tooth and f.f.m. breeding ewes, 12s Id; 2 tooth wethers, small, 9s 8d; 2 tooth wethers, small, 10s; fair 2 tooth wethers, 11s. Cattle: Mixed weaners 20s; 18 months Jersey heifers, 365: 2 year empty heifers, £2 8s 6d to £2 14s 6d ; empty forward cows, £2 14s to £3 0s 6d; fat cows to £4 Is; cows and calves, £3 10s 6d ; 2 year steers, £2 13s to £3 7s;, bulls to £2 12s; store pigs 20s. On Tuesday, 19th, we held a special bullock sale at our W’anganui yards on account’ of H. Y. Hammond., Esq., of Lismore Station, 587 head being yarded. There was a good attendance, buyers being present from outside districts. The cattle were yarded in good order, and although the demand was not brisk, we succeeded in making a total clearance at market rates The principal sales were:—lol 4 and 5 year bullocks £6 ss, 45 3to 4 }4 year bullocks £5 10s 6d, 30 8 and 4 year bullocks £5 4s, 27 3 to 4 year bullocks £5, 39 ditto £5. 100 3 to year bullocks £4 12si 6d, 102 ditto £4 12s 6d, 22 6}4 to 3 year Hereford bullocks £4 l7s 6d, 32 3to 2 % year steers £3 15s. INVERCARGILL WOOL SALES. Invercargill, January 20. The second, wool sales of the season were held to-day. The catalogue totalled 10,137 bales, and nearly all were sold. Prices: Crossbreds were to Id better than last season, other sorts par top price; flue bred wool sort realised lid. Very little halfbred and merino came forward.' Merino, good to medium B%d to B%d, medium to inferior 7}|d to balfored good to medium lOd to B%d, medium to inferior 7%d to 7d fine crossbred super to good ll%d to lOd, good to medium 9%d to /Bd, medium to inferior 7%d, goocj to strong crossbred super to good lOd to B%d, good ||to medium 7%d to 7d, medium to inferior to 4d., ADDINGTON MARKETS. Christchurch, January 20. Fat sheep.—Prime wethers 16s 6d to 19s 9d, lighter 13s 9d to 16s, prime ewes 14s to 16s sd, others 11s 6d tp 13s 6d. Fat lambs.—For export prices ranged from 13s lOd to 11* sd. A few lines of heavier lambs were taken by butchers at prices up to 16a sd, rape lambs from 13s upwards. Store'Sheep,—Ewes, principally 2 and 4 tooths, realised from 12s 9d to !4s 7d, wethers 21 21s lOd to 14s 2d, and iambs lls lld to 18s lOd. Fat Cattle. —Best steer beef xpade 21s to 235, medium 18s 6d to 20s 6d, and/cow beef 17s to 18a per 10001 b; stores realised £6 to £lO 10s, heifers £5 to £7 17s 6d, and dry cows £4 10s to £7 10s. I Fat calves sold at prices ranigng from 4 s6d to£ 21 os, according to age and condition. Store Cattle.—Yearlings made 80s to 81s, 15 to 18-mbnths 51s, two year steers £3 16s, steers £3 13s, 2-year heifers £3 Is to £8 8s to £6, 4-year steers £7 10s, 8-year heifers £3 10s to £4 7s 6d, dry cows 88s 6d to £3 15a. A small entry of dairy cows sold at £3 6s to £B. Pigs.—Choppers realised £3 to £4, heavy baconers 52s 6d to 695, and lighter 45s to 50s, equal lb. The demand for this class lacked animation. Porkers made 85s to 445, equal to '4%d to 5d per lb, good stores realised 34s tp 365, and smaller 25s to 80s, weaners made 18s to 21s, and suckers 14s to 17s 6d.
