The emergency sub-committee of the English Rugby Union informed the Scottish Union that the matter must be referred to the full committee. Meanwhile they intimate that three shillings will be allowed daily for petty expenses which would not he incurred if at home, but in no wise as a source of profit; it is merely to save the manager from trouble in paying daily small [legitimate items. The arbitrary cancel--lation of the international fixture and the accusation of professionalism are questions for the International Board, which will he summoned as soon as practicable. The Australian League defeated Ebbrovale by 9 points to 8, It was a fast and brilliant game. Tries for the winners were scored by Ooulon, Dean aiui Devert)aux, none being converted In the second half Ebbrovale scored -a goal and 2 tries.
