The California House read a third time a Bill prohibiting Japanese from bolding land. New York, January 19.
Roosevelt, in addressing the Methodists at their jubilee, insisted that the recent agreement with Japan had achieved a completely satisfactory solution of all difficulties between the two countries. Only the Federal Government was able properly to deal with snob a question and the intervention of unwise and foolish men would only jeopardise an arrangement which was working well.
